Bright Aluminum as Alternative to Chrome Plating

At least once a month I get asked by a customer for our brightest, mirror like aluminum finish. This typically means they are looking at some sort of bright anodize or chrome plating. Both processes leave the finished part with a high polish and mirror finish but is both expensive and not environmentally friendly.

Aluminum is the metal of choice for product designers looking for durable and strong nameplates, badges and ID plates. Product identification made from aluminum has value for a wide variety of applications in markets from sporting goods and heavy machinery to food service equipment and furniture.

This nameplate shows nicely how bright aluminum can be worked into nameplate design. The overall high gloss finish results in a highly reflective surface that is durable and will stand up to nearly any environment. This particular aluminum badge is designed for exterior application.

Bright aluminum also gives you almost limitless decorating options. It can be used as a background color, border, or text. When used as an accent against a low gloss background, bright aluminum stand outs and appear brighter than it is.
